Term 3 – Week 2 – Wednesday 30th July 2020

This week we began undertaking the Three-Way Conversations (Parent-Teach Interviews) which will also take place next week. Due to Covid-19, we have a new format, however, they will be as valuable as ever. Feedback is at the forefront of any successful teaching or learning experience as it leads to sustained success.

As part of recognizing and celebrating Reconciliation week the Year 3 students held an Acknowledgement to Country ceremony. Following this we talked about what Reconciliation means to us and our responsibility as Australians to celebrate and honor it

Term 2 – Week 4 – Wednesday 20th May 2020

The last 3 months have been life-changing. We have been forced to change the way we live, play, interact and work and in our respect the way we teach. The vast majority of us can’t wait for things to get back to ‘normal’. I have spent time reflecting on this experience as a husband, father, friend, colleague and principal.

This weekend Saturday 21st March is a children’s Mass. I have sent notes home with those who have offered to help. If you would like a note, please collect one from the office. I will send home job notifications on Thursday this week.

Term 4 – Week 5 – 3rd November 2021

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all as members of the Holy Spirit School community for the past fortnight. It has been an incredibly busy and stressful time for everyone. As a team, if we work together we will come out of the current Covid situation safe and healthy.

Term 4 – Week 2 – Wednesday 13th October 2021

Last weekend a large number of our Year 3 students celebrated their First Eucharist. During the celebration of the Mass just before the Prayers of the Faithful, all those in attendance recited The Creed.

Term 3 – Week 4 – Wednesday 4th August 2021

It may be a year late but the Tokyo Olympics are well underway. The Olympics are full of unforgettable moments that inspire us, bringing together people of different backgrounds. As a proud Tasmanian, I, along with the whole nation have watched Ariarne Titmus, who grew up and was educated in a Catholic school in Launceston, take home 4 medals in the pool, two of them gold. Launceston has many similarities to our location in regional Australia, including being the same population as Albury/Wodonga.
