Many of you will have heard the aforementioned African proverb. It is often used to help us all understand the role we all play in providing support, guidance, understanding and critical love for all members of a community. In our community there are nearly 340 children, all in different phases of life’s journey.
We acknowledge and pay our respects to the traditional custodians, past and present, of the lands of the Wiradjuri, Yorta Yorta, Walgalu and Ngarigo people, on whose lands our schools are built.
Long before us, they lived, loved and raised their children on these lands.
We also acknowledge all the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families in our community and acknowledge their physical and spiritual connections to the land.
We come together to learn, to share and to journey together.
